Endoscopic Ultrasound

An endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a procedure that combines endoscopy and ultrasound to help doctors examine the digestive tract. During an EUS, a doctor inserts a thin, flexible tube (endoscope) down the throat and into the stomach. An ultrasound device at the end of the tube emits sound waves that generate images of the digestive tract and nearby organs and tissues.
